Melancthon Woolsey's Naval Journal, 1801-1803.

Journal kept by Melancthon Taylor Woolsey, midshipman, on board the United States Frigate Boston from New York to Gibralter where he transferred to USF Adams, then to Algeziras where he transferred to USF New York, to Malta where he transferred to USF Chesapeake. Master of USF Boston was Daniel McNeil. Illustrated in rear with pencil drawings of volcanos, watercolor signal flags.
